Happy Valentines Day!

Haven’t done a public post in awhile but just wanted to share this because I just saw Ms. Riri’s S & M video for the first time today. Nonetheless, it’s very “Riri”- pushing her limits but still keeping it feminine & innocent in a way. I especially love the bright colors & Barbie pinks used. You go Riri, you go!

btw, Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone!

1st half marathon CHECKED. & I’ll be on to the next one

My official finish time 2:29:58 11:27.

Countdown

LAST FEW DAYS TIL the US HALF and I’m SUPER STOKED especially for the night before to carbo load! Oh ya correction, I have been training for the US Half Marathon which takes place in SF (not the SF Marathon as mentioned previously). I also won a ticket for the SF Ski Snow fest which takes place the weekend of the race. I won by being one of the 1st 10 people to comment saying what you’re excited about the US Half on their facebook page- and I said I’m excited to run through the finish line since it’ll be my 1st half marathon! And of course- running through the beautiful city and across the Golden Gate Bridge too!

I am still debating whether I want to register for the other Half in April 2011 though. The medal given to the finishers in November and April go together like ying-yang and make a complete picture and is definitely enticing! I guess we’ll see how my first run goes and my living situation.

For those interested in the run approaching & the one in April 2011, check out the US Half Marathon website

Happy Halloween!

How adorable is this kid’s TMNT costume?!!! Turtle in a half shell!

Rock That Body

Currently on REPEAT- Black Eyed Pea’s “Rock That Body”

Bling Bling

Excuse the double negatives but “Momma, didn’t raise no fool.” Was lectured by my mother I should invest in a watch rather than depending on my cell phone for the time.

Debated between the 2

and decided to go with the Nixon Kensington watch because it’s bigger and has a more classic look.

SF Fleet Week

Today, I volunteered with some friends helping out with today’s festivities for Fleet Week. We helped sell beer & wine @ the beverage booth and all the benefits went towards some SF Senior Center. ( I forgot the exact name of the organization, but my friend’s aunt is one of the event coordinators and asked for some extra hands to help. And, I’m always willing to give back to the community in any way I can.). Skipped the traffic by heading down to the pier by biking and the weather today was just perfect! Also, I haven’t ridden my bike in months after a gnarly spill a few months ago, and I definitely missed riding (especially when I don’t fall!)  I just love exploring the city in a 360 kind of experience and not having to worry about traffic or paying parking. All in all, this has been an awesome week so far and no complaints about today – the Blue Angels, beer, biking, giving back to the community, & meeting some new cool people = awesome times!

Next week’s agenda: study, study, study.

Classic

Had one of the best times in Vegas with my favorite group of girlfriends and my cousin for my 25th. Ballas on a budget that’s what’s up. A few inside jokes from the trip: “henny time!” Texas, NY, 24 inches?!, salt & vinegar chips!” LOL

I loved how our last day in Vegas, my girlfriends and I were just being bums in the room watching Clueless on tv. Imagine, 4 girlfriends reciting quotes from this movie and being on point! hahaha I absolutely looooove this movie! one of my all time classics! Since I’m in the midst of redecorating my room, doing laundry, and cleaning out my closet… I decided to pop in my Clueless dvd once again. Funny to think, I originally watched this movie in the theatre with my dad since I was too young at the time (10 years old) to watch it without adult supervision and I didn’t have $ of my own. I love my dad…he must have been so uncomfortable watching this with me before. lol

Enjoy. “I’m outty.”
